'Real Housewives Of Orange County' Season 10 Episode 8: Vicki Gunvalson, Meghan King Edmonds Clash After Touching Down In Tahiti [RECAP]

The ladies of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" jetted off on a luxury girls trip during Season 10 episode 8 and, in true "Housewives" fashion, the vacation quickly went from relaxing to painfully uncomfortable. Things were going swimmingly for the ladies of The O.C. as they boarded a plane and took to the skies. Unfortunately all that changed as they touched down on Tahitian soil.

Following an almost drama free game night, hosted by Meghan King Edmonds, the “RHOC” cast packed their bags and headed for LAX. Meghan, Shannon Beador, Heather Dubrow, Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge and Lizzie Rovsek met at the Air Tahiti gate and prepared for take off. Armed with only a hand-held camera with which to film themselves during the flight, the cast bunkered down sipping champagne, watching movies and in Vicki’s case, getting some work done. Just hours after landing in Tahiti, things began to take a turn for the worst.

Shortly after landing Vicki decided the best way to beat the jet-lag would be for all the ladies to “whoop it up.” Sadly her cast mates weren’t exactly on the same page. The ladies sat down for a casual cocktail and a conversation. Shannon decided to skip the chit-chat and head to bed as she wasn’t feeling well at the time. With her sleeping soundly in her bed, the ladies seized the opportunity to discuss her and Meghan’s tense relationship. Lizzie questioned her decision to exclude Shannon from her JRF foundation fundraiser, at which time she revealed she was “not sorry.” This caused a stir among Shannon’s close friends in the group and this was only the tip of the iceberg.

The following day the “RHOC” ladies decided to do a little light shopping -- you know, pearl necklaces worth a whopping $50,000. Nothing major. While browsing one of the fine jewelry shops the topic of conversation shifted to finances and whether or not each of the individual “Housewives” felt obligated to ask their hubby before making a big purchase. While most of the ladies seemed to believe that, if their husband was the sole breadwinner in the home, they should ask his permission first, Heather -- better known as fancy pants -- revealed that she only consults husband Dr. Terry Dubrow on purchases of $10,000. Meghan then chimed in, sharing her feeling that being a stay-at-home mom is a full-time job and, as such, she and husband Jim Edmonds are equals financially. This caused waves between her and Vicki, who staunchly disagreed -- and it didn’t stop there.

Later that day, over what should have been a nice lunch, Meghan opened up about her life prior to marrying Jim. During the discussion the 31-year-old revealed that she had given up her career as a medical device saleswoman to make her relationship with Jim work. Vicki was very vocal in her feeling that Meghan’s decision was not the wisest. Still, Meghan stood firm in her beliefs, which appeared to further rub Vicki the wrong way.
