Last month, a leaked render for TCL’s Palm Android smartphone surfaced on the web and gave everyone a first look at the upcoming handset. Now, a new render for the rumored Palm Pepito smartphone has been leaked and this time it’s a lot clearer than the previous leak.

The new render for the Palm Pepito Android smartphone was shared online by Android Headlines. The site says that it was able to get the new image from one of its reliable sources. The render itself looks pretty legit and it may very well be a press render for the upcoming handset that will be used as part of TCL’s marketing materials.

The newly leaked render for the Palm Pepito looks very similar to the one that was leaked a month ago. It still has a very tiny screen up front and some big bezels. It’s rumored that the screen on the device will be 3.3 inches and it will be an LCD panel. The resolution of the tiny screen is also believed to be 720p HD.

The new image also shows a better look at the handset’s front-facing camera, the earpiece speaker and a small hole that will either be an LED notification light or a front-facing sensor of some sort. On the back, the handset comes with a single camera that’s accompanied by an LED flash. The camera and flash module looks similar to that of the vertically aligned iPhone X cameras.

The side of the Palm Pepito will have a metal frame of some kind. The power button and the SIM card tray will be placed on one of the sides of the smartphone. It’s very likely that the other side, which isn’t seen in the render, will have the handset’s volume and mute buttons.

Probably the most interesting thing about this newly leaked render for the Palm Pepito is the software that’s shown on its screen. It doesn’t have the typical Android user interface. The user interface in the image is very reminiscent of the Apple Watch software, as pointed out by Android Authority.

It’s possible that TCL will be using a different kind of Android launcher on the new Palm smartphone to make it easier for users to navigate around its tiny screen. Another possibility here is that the render may not be showing an accurate depiction of the Android UI and it may just be an artist’s conception.

There’s no word yet on when exactly the Palm Pepito Android smartphone will be released, but it was previously reported that it may be exclusively available from Verizon. Pricing information hasn’t been leaked yet, but it will most likely be a budget-friendly phone.
