Looks like Charlotte (Christa Allen) will finally be getting that sweet taste of vengeance she so desperately wanted when episode 3 of “Revenge” airs Sunday, Oct. 12. But why is the little sister of Emily (Emily VanCamp) so gung-ho on seeing her dead? Well, maybe it has something to do with Emily being the one behind Charlotte’s kidnapping, the destruction of her family or because her mother (Madeleine Stowe) is pushing her darling daughter to win the war against the “pathological creature” previously known as Amanda Clarke.

In the Season 3 premiere of “Revenge,” Victoria managed to escape from the mental institution that Emily had left her in last season. But once she got out, Victoria was tracked down by a very much alive David (James Tupper). After the former lovers caught up, the Grayson matriarch made one more move to visit another person near and dear to her heart: Charlotte. Charlotte is extremely vulnerable. Not only is the Hamptons hunny fiddling with cocaine to soothe her woes, but Charlotte even tried to end it all when she attempted suicide in episode 2 -- well, that is until Emily stepped in.

After Charlotte was rescued from the ledge, Emily revealed to Charlotte an unknown detail about their twisted family tree: She is the real Amanda Clarke, which makes Charlotte her half-sister. But instead of embracing her sibling with a hug, Charlotte lured Emily to the Stowaway, knocked her out and then set the building on fire. You know, just your typical sister horseplay.

But a sneak peek from episode 3, “Ashes,” reveals that Charlotte’s plan for revenge will be brought to a whole new level when mommy dearest gets involved. After embracing her daughter, Charlotte reveals that she’s had more to deal with than her mother knows.

“Emily Thorne is Amanda Clarke. And she’s been lying about it this whole time,” Charlotte admits.

“How did you learn of this?” her mother asked surprised. See, Emily’s kept this secret very guarded -- even denying it when Victoria shouted the admission at the top of her lungs in the crazy house. So, why would Emily come clean to Charlotte about her best-kept secret?

“She told me. Out of guilt or shame or just to torture me. Did you know?” Charlotte asks her mom who admitted that she “suspected” it. After seeing her daughter completely distraught, Victoria promises Charlotte that Amanda Clarke is about to “get what she deserves.”
