Braunwyn Windham-Burke and her girlfriend, Kris, called it quits, but they still remain friends, according to a report.

Windham-Burke came out as gay in December and in her announcement, she admitted that she already had a girlfriend. However, they are no longer together.

"Kris broke up with Braunwyn well over a month ago," a source told People adding, "Braunwyn understood."

"They were at two very different places in their lives and Kris wanted more of a commitment than Braunwyn was able to give, so it was better to part ways. They're still friendly, and each want the best for the other," the source added.

The "Real Housewives of Orange County" star announced she was dating Kris in an interview with GLAAD late last year. Prior to the interview, she denied the rumors that she and her husband, Sean Burke, were divorcing. She also admitted that they were no longer living together and were in an open-marriage.

"I like women. I’m gay," she said. "It has taken me 42 years to say that but I am so proud of where I am right now. I’m so happy where I am. To be able to be comfortable in my own skin after so long is just so nice."

She realized her sexual preference after a makeout session with Tamra Judge. When asked about the kiss they shared if it was a drunken mistake or accidental, she felt that it was the real her.

"I had a scene with Tamra that everyone kind of talked about," she explained. "When we were getting ready for the reunion I was talking to a producer that I trust a lot, his name was James, and he said, ‘How do you feel about this? Was it a drunken mistake or is this a part of who you are?’ And I said, ‘This is who I am.'"

Windham-Burke also remains amicable with her husband. In fact, they are not getting a divorce.

"I like women. I’m gay … I love Sean. I love him dearly, he is my person, he is my family. But I’m not attracted to men and I never have been," she said.

In another interview, Windham-Burke said she would be heartbroken if he were to fall for someone else. Meanwhile, he said "it sucks" figuring out things after his wife came out as a lesbian with a new girlfriend. However, he remains supportive of her.

"I love you. I’m proud of you. And I support you. Always," Sean wrote in an Instagram Story.
