For the past year, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Joe Giudice has been attempting to avoid deportation, but the reality star's battle may be coming to an end. At a court hearing on Wednesday, Joe is set to ask for immediate release from ICE custody so that he can "wait out his appeal at home in New Jersey with his wife, Teresa, and four daughters," according to Radar Online.

Since Oct. 2018, Joe has been fighting an immigration judge's deportation order, but his efforts have not been met with positivity. In his most recent appeal in the Third Circuit Court, the U.S. Attorney General shut down his deportation appeal.

As reported by the Daily News, the "Real Housewives" star at one point was even willing to pay for his own ankle monitor if that would grant him the ability to leave the Clinton County Correctional Facility in McElhattan, Pennsylvania. This sentiment was further exemplified by his attorney, lawyer James Leonard Jr. "Whatever it takes to get him home, he's amenable to it," he said.

However, if the "RHONJ" personality is not granted his request, he reportedly is planning on asking for immediate deportation due to what a source calls "horrible conditions." Elaborating on how strongly Joe feels about finding a way to leave the facility, the source also revealed that "the moment he is denied, he said he will pull his appeal and get ready to go to Italy."

Joe has been at his current facility and under ICE's custody since March, which was when he left prison. Previously, he had served three years for a conviction regarding financial fraud. The outcome of Joe's request remains to be seen, but the judge said that he will issue a formal decision sometime on Wednesday, per Radar Online.
