• Artifacts can be unlocked by visiting Bulwark's Ambry in the Sky Meadows
  • Players need to input specific codes to enter the secret area
  • Specific codes are required to unlock specific Artifacts

Artifacts serve as game modifiers that can drastically affect how “Risk of Rain 2” is played. Some of these items can make runs easier or a lot more fun than usual, while others can make the ludicrously harder than it has to be.

Players who have finished the game all the way to the final boss may find that Artifacts can give a nice change of pace to “Risk of Rain 2.” However, getting all of them will take more than just a few runs, and finding at least one will require a little bit of effort. Here’s how to get all of them.

“Risk of Rain 2” Artifacts

Unlike the first game, all of the Artifacts in “Risk of Rain 2” are unlocked from two connected areas: the Sky Meadow (AKA Stage 5) and Bulwark’s Ambry.

Upon reaching Stage 5, players need to head over the part of the map with the high cliffs, near the giant hole on the ground. An isolated platform with large metal tubes can be seen if players drop down into the hole. This platform opens a portal to Bulwark’s Ambry, which protects one of the game’s many Artifacts.

To get to the platform, head back up the upper level and head toward the platform’s direction. Hug the edge of the ground until the floor of the platform can be spotted from above. Then, just jump down and break momentum with an ability.

There will be a 3x3 grid and a laptop sitting on a desk on the opposite side of the portal platform. On the grid, players will need to input the right code in order to open a portal leading to the Artifact of their choice.

Bulwark’s Ambry

After inputting an Artifact code (all of which can be viewed here thanks to the community), players need to destroy the large Artifact Reliquary in the middle of the area. Collect Artifact Keys from chests and monsters and interact with the Reliquary to deplete its health. After destroying it, the Artifact will be free to take.

Completing the encounter will open a portal that loops back to the first stage.
