Singer Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field have come out with a shocking revelation, saying that they were threatened with being beheaded in 2010.

While appearing in the “Postcards From The Edge” podcast, the couple opened up about the horrifying incident that occurred while they were gearing up to do some charity work in Haiti following the catastrophic earthquake that rocked the country a decade ago.

Shedding light on the incident, the 46-year-old musician revealed that he was threatened with being “beheaded” in the country while he was preparing to go there and help people who lost everything due to the massive earthquake.

The “Rock DJ” hitmaker also noted that now he knows how “scary” it was to get such a threat.

“I got threatened to be beheaded in Haiti. We were going out there to help. I was like, ‘Should we go to the next street then?’ And looking back, it was scary,” Metro quoted Williams, as saying.

Ayda, known for appearing on shows like “The X Factor” and “Back To You,” also shared the same sentiment and noted that she, too, was threatened with the same thing in the tropical country.“I was with you, I too was being threatened to be beheaded as well,” Ayda said during the interview.

On Jan. 12, 2010, an earthquake of magnitude 7 on the Richter scale transformed much of Port-au-Prince and the nearby cities of Gressier, Leogane, and Jacmel into dusty ruins, killing more than 200,000 people and injuring some 300,000 others.

More than a million and a half Haitians were left homeless, causing island authorities and the international humanitarian community to face a colossal challenge.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, teamed up with the United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help many people who were in need of support following the calamity.

Williams started his career in 1997 with his album named “Life Thru A Lens.” Since then, he has produced 10 more albums. He has set a record by winning eighteen Brit Awards, which also include the recognitions he won with the band Take That, making him the most successful artist in the history of the awards ceremony.
