Rose McGowan was recently arrested for felony drug possession, but was released on bond.

According to E! News, the actress turned herself in to authorities earlier this week. McGowan was booked at the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia, and her mug shot was also taken. She was later on released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Last month, McGowan received an arrest warrant after her personal items, that she left on a plane, tested positive for narcotics. After making several attempts to contact the actress, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority decided to bench the warrant and submitted it to the national law enforcement database.

As of late, McGowan has not yet commented on her recent legal troubles. But the actress previously claimed that the arrest warrant was handed out to her as their way of silencing her.

McGowan was the first actress to accuse producer Harvey Weinstein of rape via a series of tweets she posted on Oct. 12. According to the “Charmed” actress, she told Amazon Studios after the incident, but they refused to do something about it.

According to E! News, this was not the first time that McGowan claimed she was raped by someone from the industry. In 2016, she also tweeted about a similar incident, but did not directly name Weinstein as her abuser.

The New York Times also mentioned McGowan in their article about Weinstein’s sexual misconduct and revealed that the actress reached a $100,000 settlement with him in 1997. The publication said that the settlement was done “after an episode in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival.” However, they did not directly say that McGowan was “raped.”

After the article’s release, Weinstein’s attorney, Charles J. Harder, released a statement saying that there was no truth to the contents of the story. But the producer also released a statement to E! News apologizing for the pain he might have caused others. “I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it. Though I am trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go,” he said.
