Prince William and Prince Harry will always be brothers, but their relationship has changed over the years and this time, there may be no going back.

An insider told People that the brother's relationship is "forever changed," now that Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped down as senior members of the British royal family.

"They won’t get back to the way they were," the source said. "Harry is looking straight ahead at his future with his family."

"He’s not looking back," the source added after revealing that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to spend their time in both Canada and California with their 10-month-old son Archie.

Despite Harry and William's relationship being a little distant at the moment, body language expert Judy James revealed last fall that there is one thing that the brothers are bound together by -- their humor.

In the 2019 documentary "Harry & Meghan: An African Journey," Harry addressed the situation with his brother and told ITV interviewer Tom Bradby, "Inevitably, you know, stuff happens, but we’re brothers. We’ll always be brothers."

James explained how the 35-year-old's nonverbal cues gave some true insight into their relationship.

"His laugh, when asked about the rumoured rift with his brother William, looked rueful and he paused to compose his words," she said. "His grin looked almost like a reflection of what he thought William’s response would be if he were asked the same question and he shoved his hands into his pockets as he told Tom 'I love him dearly' but that they have good days and bad days as brothers."
