Rumors surrounding the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 signal to a March release date, but new reports claim the phone will not be out until the summer of 2012.

Samsung has said that Galaxy enthusiasts should not hold their breaths for a March release, as the phone is likely to come in the middle of the year, closer to the summer, according to a report obtained by News Sizzle.

The Galaxy S2 was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress last year, but its success together with the recent release of the Galaxy Nexus will likely delay the launch of the S3.

Cell C, a mobile carrier in South Africa released a statement saying the S3 would be released in stores by July 2012. But the international version will likely be released before the U.S, especially if the Galaxy Nexus is an example to go by.

Recent rumors have pointed to a February, March release with many tech bloggers predicting the phone will be unveiled in the first half of the year, but Samsung is yet to release an official statement about the release date.

Samsung Galaxy S2 was heralded one of the top smartphones of 2011 with its all-powerful features packed into a slim, sleek case. Now Samsung enthusiasts are gearing up for the all-new Samsung Galaxy S3 model.

The most popular rumor surrounding the S3 is that Samsung will launch an 8GB entry-level version of its Androidphone. It will have smaller memory, but come at a reasonable price compared to the larger model, according to a report published in Planet Insane.
