Samsung has reportedly pushed back its previous rumored release date for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus from April 21 to April 28, according to VentureBeat.

There wasn’t a specific reason for the release date’s one-week delay, a source briefed on the company’s revised target told VentureBeat. Samsung is still expected to introduce the Galaxy S8 and S8+ on March 29.

The delayed release date could be good news for LG, which is expected to release its G6 worldwide at the beginning of April. The Galaxy S8 will compete with the LG G6.
