Once a year, the South Korean tech and electronics giant Samsung holds the Unpacked event that it uses to showcase its new and upcoming products. This year, Samsung held the event at San Francisco, which was attended by a lot of tech enthusiasts and journalists. Here are some of the important things about the Unpacked event that you might have missed.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Series

Since last year consumers knew that Samsung is going to unveil its new flagship series at the Unpacked event. Today, the company introduced the Samsung Galaxy S20 series, which comes in three variants. As leaked earlier, the Galaxy S20 is available in Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The variants retail at $999, $1,199, and $1,399 respectively. The Galaxy S20 features a 6.2-inch display; the S20 Plus features a 6.7-inch display, while the S20 Ultra features a 6.9-inch display. All three variants run on a 120 Hz refresh rate and come with 5G wireless network connectivity support.

All three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S20 will be up for pre-order starting Feb. 21. The latest Samsung flagship smartphone will arrive on Mar. 6, 2020.

Galaxy Z Flip

Samsung also unveiled its new flip smartphone called the Samsung galaxy Z Flip at the Unpacked event. The device was earlier advertised during The Oscars, where it reached a wider audience and potential customers. The flip smartphone retails at $1,380 and would start shipping on Feb. 14. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip comes with different modes like the laptop-style mode and halfway unfolded mode.

Galaxy Buds Plus

Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Buds Plus at this year’s Unpacked event. This is the company’s response to the Apple AirPods or AirPods Pro but misses the Active Noise cancellation feature of the Apple wireless earpiece. The new buds feature the same design as its predecessor, but with a dual driver system.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus offers up to 11 hours of battery life when fully charged. The new wireless earbuds will be available for $149 starting Feb. 14, 2020. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus also works seamlessly with iOS devices.
