Sandra Lee got emotional on her final day at the home she once shared with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

On Monday, Lee, 54, shared on Instagram a photo of "Lily Pond," her Westchester County, New York home, as she announced that she was moving out after selling the property. The celebrity chef said she hopes that its new owners will love it the way she did, adding that her departure was "the saddest day" of her life.

"Today will be one of the saddest days of my life. Today is the day that I do the final move out from Lily Pond. I love that house and I have a personal relationship with every single room of that home. I hope the new owners take care of it as well as I did and I will love it forever. #thehousethatbuiltme," she wrote in the caption.

In a separate post, the author shared another picture of her four-bedroom Colonial-style home from afar. Lee's last day at the estate was "bittersweet" because she had a lot of fond memories in the place and wanted to savor every bit of it.

"My last moments on Lily Pond were very BitterSweet. I walked around the outside of my beautiful home —I wanted to drink in every angle and remember the beautiful moments that were spent in every place," she wrote.

Lee stopped at the hill where she planted one of the six tree lines of evergreen trees and 200 daffodil bulbs. She got emotional while thinking about how the new owners would manage the place.

"I just looked at the house, I prayed the next owners would be kind to it and love it as I did—- I cried and cried," she continued.

She walked down the hill and decided to go out of the front door, which they didn't use as much as the side and back doors. She savored the corner of the house and recalled the countless holidays and seasons they spent there while cheering herself up.

"It was as if the house said 'its time to move forward Sandy!!' It was a most amazing experience and I absolutely know that House and all of its 3 beautiful acres loved us too!" she concluded.

Lee purchased the 1940 home in 2008 and redesigned it with her own family heirlooms. However, she kept the original brick floors, doorknobs and hardware, People reported.

Lee shared the home with Cuomo during their 14-year relationship. They split in September 2019. However, the estate went on the market in May 2019, months before they called it quits, for $2 million. It sold in October for $1.85 million, Page Six reported.
