This weekend, Auto Club Speedway hosted the Monster Energy Auto Club 400 NASCAR race last weekend in Fontana, California.

The Los Angeles area race certainly attracted a number of Hollywood stars. "The Fast and Furious: The Fate of the Furious" actor Scott Eastwood served as the race's grand marshal while actress Kaitlin Olson, who starred in Fox's "The Mick" and "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," was on hand as the honorary pace car driver. YouTube sensation Skylar Stecker sang the national anthem and singer Pepe Aguilar attended as the honorary starter.

Other celebs who came out for the race included "Gotham" star Jada Pinkett Smith, "Twilight" actor Taylor Lautner, "That 70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama, "This is Us" stars Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley, six-time Olympic gold medal sprinter Allyson Felix, Hank Baskett and Kendra Wilkinson, actor Zachary Levi and former "Superman" star Dean Cain.

"Being so close to Hollywood, it's neat to have so many celebs come out" said Auto Club Speedway president Dave Allen. "We are seeing more and more every year."

The famous faces were just a tip of the iceberg when it came to the excitement of race day. Fans were treated to a unique NASCAR experience. As part of Auto Club Speedway's 20th anniversary, attendees were entertained in the FanZone by an energetic pre-race concert by Smash Mouth and the Spin Doctors, rides, and meet and greets with drivers. The Viva La Fiesta Plaza area featured traditional Mexican Lucha libre and a live mariachi band. There also was a huge shopping tent and an entire KidClub area of activities.

"Racing is first and for most for most people here, but there are also many people who come that may not be race fans but come for the experience, whether it's people watching, the activities in the FanZone or camping in the infield. Because of the market we are in, we have always adhered to the notion that we are more than just a racetrack, we are an entertainment venue."

Many VIP guests watched the race from Richter’s, Auto Club Speedway's high-end private club. The décor features a collection of racing memorabilia and historical photos of Auto Club Speedway and offers an incredible view overlooking the start-finish line.

"The speedway definitely has a California vibe, from the beach cruisers in the infield, to the pre-race events such as our Neon '90s Peddle Party," said Allen. "And we are a diverse market. We have a large Hispanic attendance, we skew high with women and there are lots of kids, so we want to provide programming that appeals to everyone you see."
