Selena Gomez-Justin Bieber Update: Gomez Fuels Niall Horan Dating Speculations After She Chose One Direction Over Ex Boyfriend

An Instagram post made by a Selena Gomez follower has caught the attention of fans since it was said to contain a reply from the singer, which indicated her support for One Direction’s latest album.

The debate between One Direction and Justin Bieber fans on whose album is the best was put to the test by Instagram user @disneylandgomez, who asked the question of which album to buy for a friend, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The Instagram user wrote, "My friend likes jb and 1d but idk which one to get him? Purpose or Made in the AM?" The user even uploaded a side by side picture of Bieber and One Direction’s albums. Many Instagram users sent in their choices but one reply took fans by surprise. The “Good for You” singer was said to have commented on @disneylandgomez’s post. Gomez wrote, “Made in the AM.”

This sparked a deluge of replies with other Instagram users commenting on how Gomez chose One Direction’s latest album. It also fueled romance rumors between Gomez and One Direction band member Niall Horan. Instagram user @danielacoutinoj stated, “@selenagomez said that she [prefers] Made in the AM because I think that she and Niall Horan are together now.”

However, a fan claimed that Gomez’s response was not posted by the singer herself. “Lol I heard that Selena got hacked,” Instagram user @nevaehh_101 wrote as a response in @disneylandgomez’s post. “And someone else said that because she knows if she commented that it would start beef and attention. I really doubt that she wants all that dumb drama…”

Gomez or her representatives have yet to comment on the news.

Meanwhile, the romance rumors between Gomez and One Direction band member Horan started after the two singers were spotted being cozy together during Jenna Dewan Tatum's birthday party on Friday, Dec. 4. The two were also seen hanging out at the Santa Monica Pier with friends on Saturday night, Dec. 5.

Prior to their Santa Monica Pier outing and Dewan Tatum’s birthday party, Gomez and Horan were also seen having dinner in Nobu Malibu.
