Marlo Thomas sent "Sherri" staffers into "mama bear mode" when she guested on Sherri Shepherd's new talk show Tuesday, a report has claimed.

The actress, who appeared on Shepherd's show to promote multiple projects, including her upcoming film "Magical Christmas Village," shocked "Sherri" staffers when she "fat-shamed" the host, Page Six reported.

"I interviewed you for my AOL show ['Mondays with Marlo']," Thomas recalled at the end of her segment, adding "and you used to be a big woman!"

Thomas even put her hand around her body and blew her face out in an attempt to imitate Shepherd's old size.

"You've lost a lot of weight, but you've still got the boobies! That's good," she added.

Shepherd appeared unfazed by Thomas' comments and actions, even hopping off the seat and embracing her guest with laughter.

However, her staffers were upset with Thomas and were "very vocal" about their displeasure, an anonymous source told Page Six.

"Sherri was a good sport, but people [at the show] are very protective of her," the insider said. "People were not happy that she fat-shamed her on national TV. It was like a slap in the face."

"She works really hard at creating a very positive environment. Morale [at work] is everything to her, so people sort of went into mama bear mode," the source added.

Shepherd talked about her weight loss in an interview with People last year. She shared that her "goal is to be living a long and active life with my son Jeffrey, who shares the same birthday as me," after she shed 20 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shepherd still appeared unbothered when social media users pointed out Thomas' comments after the episode aired.

"At least you know @MarloThomas keeps it real... I almost fell out my chair laughing @sherrishowtv," one viewer tweeted.

"You never know what's gonna happen on 'Sherri'!" Shepherd replied with a laughing emoji.

"{Just] as it came off on television, Sherri laughed off the comment," a rep for Shepherd told Page Six of the moment.

The rep, however, declined to comment "about the feelings of the staff," referring the outlet instead to Debmar Mercury, the production company behind the show.

Shepherd took over Wendy Williams' time slot with her own talk show after Williams' eponymous show ended in July.

The comedian served as a guest host on "The Wendy Williams Show" while Williams was away due to health issues. The talk show, which ran for 14 seasons, ended without its original host.

"There was nothing I liked about the [the final episode of] 'Wendy Williams Show,'" Williams told the New York Post about her show's finale episode.

Williams claimed that she didn't appear in the show's final episode because producers did not reach out to her to film anything as a "television farewell" to her fans.

"[The show's syndication company Debmar-Mercury] didn't ask me to do that, so I didn't," she said. "I sat in my apartment and I watched it. And [I was] like, 'Eek!'"

"Sherri" premiered on Sept. 12.
