  • The Shiba Inu team has not yet announced the release date of Shibarium
  • The Shib Army anticipate that the team might announce the release of Shibarium documentation
  • SHIB was trading down 4.75% at $0.000008774 as of 10:13 a.m. ET on Sunday

Shibarium, the highly anticipated Layer-2 solution of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has no official release date yet, but a new tweet from one of the team's developers may have hinted at a possible countdown to the initiative's release date announcement and eventual launch of its documentation.

The Shiba Inu development team has been silent about Shibarium, seemingly not confirming anything related to the project to avoid giving the community false hope. But, a new tweet from one of the Shiba Inu developers who goes by the Twitter handle @ShibaTrophias is another riddle that the Shib Army is yet to solve.

On Sunday, the developer tweeted a riddle that he hopes could give more context to what he was actually trying to get across to the Shib Army. "Another riddle for people on this amazing Sunday for the community! Going to piggyback off the first. Hopefully this one gives more context," the tweet read.

The riddle goes like this, "As the minutes to midnight draws near, time ticks away. For now. the sands in the hourglass keep flowing through. What am I?"

While many guessed the answer is TIME, one commenter answered by sharing a link to the music video of the song titled "The Final Countdown," adding, "Throwing it out there." Aside from the developer's riddle, Shiba Inu's pseudonymous lead developer Kusama changed their Twitter bio Sunday.

Previously, Kusama's bio read, "focused on Shibarium," but right now, it's just a dot or a period. Unfortunately, the lead developer did not explain the reason behind the change, which is what they always do.

The vague teases from the Shiba Inu team do not mention anything about any of the upcoming projects. They left things for the Shib Army's interpretation.

There is a chance that the countdown could be about the imminent release of the Shibarium documentation or white paper. Kusama previously said that Shibarium's official launch will take place after the rollout of its documentation.

Another possible project that the devs could be teasing about is the ShibaSwap 2, the upgrade of the Shiba Inu decentralized exchange (DEX) platform. Unfortunately, these are all speculations at this point, and until the Shiba Inu team officially announces the projects or their release date, these details should be taken as highly speculative at this stage.

SHIB was trading down 4.75% at $0.000008774 with a 24-hour volume of $107,917,937 as of 10:13 a.m. ET on Sunday, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
