The highly anticipated NFT-based game, Shiba Inu Games, is probably well on its way to its official launch as per a tweet shared by the project's lead consultant, William Volk.

An industry veteran, Volk shared a cryptic tweet that intrigued many Twitter users. Volk mentioned "something's coming" while retweeting the brief video shared by Shibtoken, showing the typical setting before a storm hits a place.

The Shiba Inu community reacted to Volk's retweet and most of them asked about the release of the games. Interestingly, Volk is not the only one within the Shiba Inu development team to retweet the video.

Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama retweeted the same and shared a GIF on top of it saying, "this is where the fun begins." Like Volk, Kusama did not share any additional details about the tweet.

While the tweet could be about Shiba Inu Games, it could be a reference to the on-boarding of The Third Floor, which opens up a lot of possibilities to the Shiba Inu ecosystem, particularly to "Shib: The Metaverse." Rumors about the release window of the trading card games have been rife since the initiative was announced last year.

Last May, Kusama hyped investors about the games when they revealed interesting progress in the project's development. The lead developer said they created a narrative for the game that spans "Shib: The Metaverse," partnerships, and other projects.

In their own words, the narrative "gives depth to the Shib CCG story, making it more than just memes, battle cards, and awesome art. To do so, I’ve created a story that spans not only this galaxy, but the next, while giving a continuing plot for the game and MV (without imposing any limits)."

The Shiba Inu development team has not yet said anything specific about the release date of Shiba Inu Games. But, it is said that it could launch sometime between Q3 and Q4 of this year. SHIB was trading up 2.71% at $0.00001207 with a 24-hour volume of $487,797,738 as of 12:58 a.m. ET on Friday based on the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
