The team behind Shiba Inu, the dog-themed altcoin - usually referred to by others as a meme coin, was not joking when it said that it would launch projects that will benefit the community. Following the phenomenal early test launch of the Collectible Card Game (CCG) "Shiba Eternity" in Vietnam, the team is now headed to Germany to attend one of the largest video games trade fairs in the industry.

Video game industry veteran and Shiba Inu Games alpha director William Volk shared on Twitter on Monday that he is going to Gamescom to "show off" the community's upcoming game "Shiba Eternity." Volk joined the team in November 2021 as a consultant and worked alongside the Australian gaming studio Playside Studios for the development of Shiba Inu Games.

The veteran understands the video game industry well and he knows that attending these events would allow the team to introduce the game to the world and advertise it to other game developers and video game aficionados.

Gamescom, an annual trade fair for video games, is held in Cologne, Germany, and will run from Aug. 24 until Aug. 29. The event will give "Shiba Eternity" exposure and allow the team to present it to the global gaming community and benefit from the event's digital reach.

This is not the first time that Volk attended a video games event to introduce "Shiba Eternity" or let the whole world know the Shiba Inu team is working on a game. In March, Volk attended the Game Developers Conference (GDC) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

At the time the Shiba Inu Games alpha director said he will not only represent Shiba Inu Games but will also discuss it at the said conference. Like Gamescom, GDC is an annual event for video game developers that provides other activities such as expos, networking events and awards shows.

"On my way to GDC to talk about Shibu Inu games. We're doing a get-together on Wednesday night at 8. See me at the show for invites," Volk's tweet read.

Most of the time, GDC attendees are marketing professionals, video game designers, programmers, visual artists, vendor companies and studio managers. As early as Q3 2022, Volk has been attending major video game events to promote "Shiba Eternity."

The Shiba Inu community is currently waiting for the announcement of the "Shiba Eternity" Download Day, which was previously mentioned by its pseudonymous lead developer Shytoshi Kusama in the Shiba Inu official Discord. Kusama also revealed in another Discord conversation shared by GossipShib, the reason behind the official name of the CCG.

"It's based on a variety of factors including AppStore, what fits on the logo and icon well, availability, and a hundred other factors," they disclosed, adding: "I hope when you realize that the game is about our future eternity in peace, you will see it was a good choice."

Kusama also mentioned that during the game's development, they did not hold back, especially when it came to cost since they wanted to see the best video game the developers could come up with. "I don't think about the price, I just keep pushing for the best outcome," Kusama said on Discord.

As of 3:32 a.m. ET Tuesday, SHIB, the native token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, was trading down 0.87% at $0.00001303 with a 24-hour volume of $461,915,515, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
