  • Shiba Inu Metaverse was announced in January 2022
  • Shiba Inu has not yet revealed the release date of Shiberse

The Shiba Inu community thinks that the huge announcement teased by the official Twitter account may have something to do with the dog-themed meme coin's Metaverse dubbed Shiberse.

Shiba Inu teased on Tuesday that a huge announcement would follow on Wednesday. "ShibArmy, See, the world is full of things more powerful than us. But if you know how to catch a ride, you can go places. Stay tuned for _ March 30th. Woof," the tweet read.

Speculations on what the announcement is about are rife online and many guessed it could be related to the Shiberse since the tweet included an image of a map. Some said it has something to do with Shiba Inu Lands while others said it could be about the Metaverse map.

Others believe it could be about the Shiba Inu listing in the NFT marketplace OpenSea. A Medium post is likely coming out Wednesday, discussing the Shiba Inu Lands sale.

A tweet from Shibarmy ShibInformer gives more credence to rumors that the announcement is related to Shiberse. The account shared a video about the Metaverse stating, "Metaverse! Your virtual land is almost here. Get LEASH to have priority access."

The tweet also has the hashtags Leash, Metaverse and shibainu with the caption," Standby for more information, #ShibArmy." Milkshake, a Shiba Growth member also tweeted a GIF of a pixelated island, which further fuels speculations about Shiberse.

The Shiba Inu Metaverse was announced earlier this year but until now the team has not yet revealed its definitive release date. An announcment of the Shiberse could help boost the price of SHIB and LEASH.

Another possible announcment is Shiba Inu's partnership with Uber based on the line "But if you know how to catch a ride, you can go places." It is also possible that the line is a hint of a partnership with a taxi company.

Shiba Inu was trading down 1.76% at $0.00002734 with a 24-hour volume of $1,770,473,486 as of 5:37 a.m. ET on Wednesday, according to the data from CoinMarketCap.
