Simon Cowell was doing well almost immediately after he went home from the hospital following a six-hour surgery due to a bike accident in August, a source has revealed amid reports claiming the "America's Got Talent" judge was bedridden.

"Simon has been up and walking since day two [of being home]," the source exclusively told Us Weekly.

Cowell broke his back after an electric bike accident in Malibu two months ago. He has been switching up physical therapy activities to get back to full mobility, and he has been focusing on strengthening his body and staying fit.

"Simon’s having little or no visitors due to COVID, but he’s doing 10,000 steps a day and swimming regularly," a second source said.

"It’s become an ongoing joke that Lauren (his partner) has to run to keep up with him," the second insider added.

Another source reiterated to Entertainment Tonight that Cowell has been recovering well despite reports that he was bedridden.

"He's doing really well and is recovering well and ahead of what was expected," the source said.

"He's doing over 10,000 steps a day as well as swimming to get his back strong and healed again. He no longer needs to wear a back brace all the time."

Cowell was immediately taken to the hospital after the accident where he underwent a six-hour surgery. An insider told Page Six that a metal rod was put into his back because he broke it after he fell off the bike. He was in shock and in massive amount of pain at the time, the tipster added.

"He is in good spirits and his back is well on the mend," another source told Us Weekly at the time.

"As bad as the accident was, he’s incredibly grateful because he knows it could have been much worse.”

Meanwhile, Cowell's fellow "AGT" judge Howie Mandel sent him a tricycle as a gift to make his cycling experience safer. Cowell shared a snap of Mandel's present on Instagram and thanked him.

"This just arrived at my house! Thank you @howiemandel," he wrote.

Many approved of Mandel's gift to Cowell, and they wished him a speedy recovery.

"Ha ha ha ha will suit u enjoy and try not to fall off," one commented.

"NOW U DONT HAVE TO USE THE ELECTRIC ONE AGAIN," another netizen wrote along with a heart emoji.
