“Sister Wives” star Meri Brown might have publicly admitted to having an online relationship (and getting catfished by a woman) but the drama surrounding Kody Brown’s ex-wife’s affair isn’t over yet. On Thursday, more voicemails between Meri and the “man” she had feelings for leaked, giving fans of the TLC family a glimpse at Meri’s emotional bond with her significant other.

In Touch Weekly obtained the scandalous messages between Meri and her suitor, who, according to the outlet, was impersonating a businessman named Sam Cooper. From the voicemails, audiences were able to get a peek at just how serious Meri’s online romance was in addition to how badly Kody’s first wife struggled in her relationship with the polygamist patriarch. (Meri and Kody divorced in 2014 after 24 years of marriage so that Kody could legally wed Robyn, his fourth sister wife, and adopt her children.)

“Being with you is very special to me. It really is,” Meri can be heard saying in the audio clip to Sam. “Please don’t take that away from us okay? It’s very special to me you know that… I guess I’ll just give you your space. I understand you need that. All of this just breaks my heart because I don’t know what is going on… Anyway I wish you weren’t so mad at me right now. I really hate it when you’re mad at me. I wish you weren’t mad.”

The magazine then released a second voicemail from Meri where she reveals just how in love she is with Sam.

Since Meri’s affair went public, the “Sister Wives” star has released a statement, sharing how she and her family are coping with the catfishing incident.

“During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not who they said they were,” Meri told People magazine. “I never met this person and I regret being drawn into this situation, but I hope because of it I can help others who find themselves in similar circumstances.”

The reality star, who is currently starring in Season 6 of “Sister Wives,” added that despite the online affair, the Brown family has remained strong and supportive.

“Throughout this ordeal, my family has supported and stood by me,” she said. “I am grateful to them for their love and strength through this difficult time.”

“Sister Wives” airs Sundays at 9 p.m EDT on TLC.
