Snap Inc., the maker of Snapchat, has recently revealed the third generation of its smart glasses called Spectacles 3. The company has added some improvements to its cameras that now allow users to take 3D images while wearing a stylish eyewear. Preorders for the device are also available after the reveal.

As seen on the official Spectacles 3 website, Snap has already put up preorders for the two variants of the smart glasses. Separate preorder links are now available for the Carbon and Mineral versions of the Spectacles 3. Carbon sports a black color while Mineral has a white color.

Either of the variants costs $380 when preordered, and one just needs to fill out some details to secure a device upon release. Fans will just have to wait out after preordering the Spectacles 3.

The Spectacles 3 has two camera lenses located on either side of the smart glasses. Wearers can use the smart glasses to take pictures with two different perspectives, allowing them to form a 3D image. In turn, the 3D images can be uploaded to Snapchat and shared on social media platforms.

The cameras on the Spectacles 3 are designed to take images as though the user is looking at the images directly. The Spectacles 3 is designed for users to snap pictures as conveniently as possible.

Lastly, the device also comes with a charging case that can store up to four full charges for the smart glasses. Similar to other smartphone peripherals like earphones and powerbanks, this device also has its own case which allows it to be portable and barely run out of power.

In its previous iterations, Snap invested money for the Spectacles line and even had dedicated vending machines to sell the devices. However, the company wasn’t as overly successful with the early releases of this device but the features on the Spectacles 3 may help it carry through.

The previous versions of the Spectacles are still available on the site for a cheaper $150 for the original Spectacles 2 and $200 for the Nico and Veronica Spectacles 2.
