“Saturday Night Live” is on TV tonight, but it is not a new episode. A rerun will air in its usual timeslot on NBC. However, fans won’t have to wait long for new “SNL” episodes.

“SNL” returns next weekend to kick off the final set of episodes for Season 44. On May 4, Adam Sandler will host. The comedian was a regular on “SNL” for five years until he was fired in 1995, but he has returned to the show to make cameo appearances. This will be the alum’s first time hosting, though.

While he handles the monologue and sketches, musical guest Shawn Mendes will perform two songs. He made his debut on “SNL” in 2016. The “Lost in Japan” singer just finished up the European leg of his tour and will play concerts across the U.S. and Canada this summer.

On May 11, Oscar winner Emma Thompson will host for the first time. The British actress is starring in the Amazon Prime comedy “Late Night” alongside Mindy Kaling, who once guest-wrote on “SNL.”

Also on May 11, the newly reunited Jonas Brothers will take the stage. Nick, Joe and Kevin last played at Studio 8H over a decade ago. They’ll be promoting their new album, “Happiness Begins,” out June 7.

“SNL” Season 44 will wrap up on May 18, and the season finale will bring a Marvel superhero to the stage. “Avengers: Endgame” star Paul Rudd will host for the first time. Serving as musical guest will be DJ Khaled, who is promoting his new album, “Father of Asahd,” out May 17.

Tonight, however, viewers will have to settle for a rerun. Viewers can catch a rebroadcast of the April 6 episode. “Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington hosts while singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles performs (and she even pops up in a particularly funny Theresa May sketch). Quite a few of Harington’s “GoT” co-stars also drop by for cameos, including Emilia Clarke and Rose Leslie.
