Soulja Boy is saying goodbye to VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.” The rapper currently appears on Season 3 of the VH1 show with former girlfriend Nia Riley, but announced in a Twitter post that he was quitting and won’t be returning for another season.

Ahead of Monday’s show, Soulja Boy tweeted a message to fans that read: “Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity.” In a second post, he announced that he was leaving the reality TV franchise because he it’s not a good fit for his brand. “I’ve decided to quit Love and Hip Hop,” he wrote. “I feel my brand is too big for the show now. It’s too ratchet.”

Soulja Boy also wrote that he has his own TV show in the works, but didn’t provide any details on the project.

Soulja Boy was an original cast member on the show when it first launched in 2014. The first two seasons documented his tumultuous relationship with Nia, which ended earlier this year. In February, Soulja Boy seemingly went on a Twitter rant bashing Nia and telling fans that he was going to do Season 3 of “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” with his new girlfriend. “Yes I’m doing Love and Hip Hop Season 3. But im single. I’ll be with my new girl this season. No more bull----,” he supposedly wrote. The Twitter post was later deleted and Soulja Boy told fans that he had been hacked.

In August, the “Crank Dat” rapper found himself in hot water when he posted a video online of him threatening Nia, and her rumored new boyfriend rapper Skrill Dilly, with a gun. “Hey dude, f--- you and f--- Nia Riley. Stop playing with me ‘for some shooters be outside your house,” he said.

“Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” Season 3 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on VH1.
