South Korean actor So Ji Sub made a meaningful and compassionate donation of 100 million won (approximately $86,000) on Monday to help underprivileged senior citizens.

So Ji Sub recently donated to South Korea’s "Good Neighbors" which is an organization to help the communities in need. The non-profit organization revealed that the 42-year-old actor had donated a total of 100 million South Korean won.

The donation amount will be used by the NGO to provide food kits, coronavirus prevention cleaning kits, warm clothes and blankets, and other useful products to senior citizens who live alone to ensure that they are warm and cared for while celebrating South Korea’s most celebrated holidays, ‘Chuseok.’ South Korea’s Chuseok festival is a major harvest festival. It is the Korean version of Thanksgiving and is celebrated for three days.

So Ji Sub, who is known for his acting roles in popular South Korean dramas such as "Master's Sun," Oh My Venus," "My Secret Terrius," and more has been recognized for his kindness and compassionate donations to the less fortunate.

The actor is an official member of the Good Neighbors’ The Neighbors Club, which is provided to individuals who have made contributions of at least 10 million won (approximately $8,500) a year to the international humanitarian organization. He received the membership in 2017.

"So Ji Sub’s positive influence will be passed on as a great source of comfort and hope to those in need who are experiencing hard times, especially this year," mentioned a director of the NGO, according to Soompi.

Over the years, he has contributed to various causes including helping people who were affected by natural calamities like floods, children who’ve been exposed to abuse, girls from low-income families, and more. He continues to move his fans with his continuous generosity.

He previously donated 350 million won (approximately $300,000) to the “Good Neighbors” organization earlier this year to help the families who were experiencing difficulties due to the COVID-19. The actor also made a donation to help over 2,000 children with low-income families to ensure that they meet their daily requirements.

Along with that, So Ji Sub provided smart devices to 145 underprivileged children to help them with their education. He also donated 5,820 pieces of anti-contamination clothing to the medical staff in Daegu.
