"Spider-Man: No Way Home" premiered in Los Angeles on Monday and critics are already raving about the new Marvel film.

CNN’s Brian Lowry said the movie “impressively lives up to the hype,” praising its humor and plethora of faithful references to the franchise's lore.

Lowry also applauded how well Tom Holland has taken to the role of Spider-Man in his third time playing the famous superhero.

“What's already apparent, though, is that this movie was conceived to be savored and enjoyed,” Lowry said in his review. “Holland has grown with the role as well...The film also deftly builds upon its predecessors, with more mature relationships between [the characters]."

Business Insider’s Kirsten Acuna was also impressed by the movie, guaranteeing viewers “won't be disappointed by 'Spider-Man: No Way Home.'”

Acuna expressed approval of the amount of fan service the film provides.

"Is the fan service ever too much? I didn't think so,” she said. “My press screening, filled largely with critics, cheered, laughed, and clapped a few times throughout.”

Contrarily, Benjamin Lee of The Guardian found the film to depend too heavily on the fan service, although he praised how it shows "an awareness of its roots...hinting at a promising way forward rather than back."

Acuna also clarified that while the various trailers for the film don’t spoil the movie directly, they do contain scenes that would be better off hidden.

To date, “No Way Home” has received critical acclaim, achieving a score of 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with an average critic rating of 8.1/10 out of 52 reviews. An audience score is not yet available on the site.

"I don't know if we'll ever get a bigger 'Spider-Man' film than 'No Way Home,'" Acuna concluded in her review. “But if the fans show their love for this one, I'd love to see Sony try and top it.”

"Spider-Man: No Way Home" premieres in the U.S. on Friday.
