“Star Wars: Episode 9” is the last film in the sequel trilogy, which is a very emotional thing for the cast and crew members. However, cast member Daisy Ridley, who is reprising her role as Rey in the film, revealed in a recent interview that the plot of the film is also “emotional.”

In an interview with USA Today, Ridley said that the upcoming JJ Abrams is a different film when compared to the other two movies in the sequel trilogy in terms of the genre. The actress said that it will become clear what she means when the film is released, but she did tease that the movie is “quite emotional.”

“There's a different drive than the previous two films, but there's a lot of fun,” Ridley said.

One change from “The Last Jedi” that the fans can expect in the upcoming film is that the three main characters Rey, Finn (John Boyega), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) will be back together. Ridley said that she missed working with Boyega in the sequel after working closely with him in the first film, and now the two of them are joined by Isaac.

The plot of “Star Wars: Episode 9” feels like “kids going on an adventure,” according to Ridley.

Apart from the main characters coming together, the upcoming film will also mark the return of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker. A fan recently asked the veteran actor to tease the upcoming film in three words on Twitter. “My final episode,” the actor replied.

In a previous interview with the Associated Press, Hamill teased that the only reason why he is able to return in “Star Wars: Episode 9” is because the mythology of the franchise allows a dead Jedi to come back one last time as a Force Ghost for a curtain call.
