Filming of “Star Wars: Episode 9” has finally wrapped. The movie is on schedule to be released in December, and the next thing the fans can look forward to is the first teaser trailer. Contrary to what some believe, no sneak peek will be released this week.

Director JJ Abrams shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the production set on Twitter and announced that the photography of “Star Wars: Episode 9” is complete. The whole filming process feels “impossible” for the director, but they have managed to complete this part of the work on schedule.

“There is no adequate way to thank this truly magical crew and cast. I’m forever indebted to you all,” Abrams wrote in his post.

The picture Abrams shared online to announce the wrap of filming showed main cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac. The cast members were all emotional on the last day of the filming.

While the last scene was filmed at a desert location, readers should note that this need not be the last scene in the film. Directors don’t generally film in sequence, and the fact that Ridley, Boyega and Isaac are together doesn’t mean that the characters will be fighting together towards the end of “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

Commenting on the post, some of the fans expressed their concern about how original the plot of the upcoming film will be. There has been some criticism of the new trilogy being very similar to the original trilogy.

Most of the fans, however, are excited. What everyone is now waiting for is the title reveal and the first teaser trailer.

There was some excitement in the past few days about the possibility of a teaser releasing soon. The excitement was because of a tweet by the Star Wars UK Twitter page that suggested something big is on the way. Many fans saw this as a hint that a video will be released soon.

The same UK Twitter page later announced that “A New Hope” and “The Force Awakens” will be airing back to back on UK’s digital channel ITV2 on Sunday. This was the big announcement that was previously teased.

The first teaser trailer of “Star Wars: Episode 9” is expected to be released during the Celebrations event in April. The title reveal may happen a few days before the event.
