New “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” leaks reveal scenes related to Rey (Daisy Ridley) training to become a Jedi. There will be a time jump in the next film, allowing the character to become more powerful, but her training will leave her frustrated.

The following article contains spoilers of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”

In many ways the Sequel Trilogy has been mirroring the story elements and events from the Original Trilogy. Just as Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) had fashioned himself a new lightsaber, so will Rey in the next film. The fact that she can build her own Jedi weapon marks the completion of her training.

According to Bespin Bulletin, Rey will take parts of Anakin and Leia’s lighsabers and use them to make her own. This scene will be exciting for the fans to watch because she will take the lightsabers apart using the Force. The scene will also be a little nostalgic because it will take place on the planet Tatooine, a planet that was the home world of both Luke Skywalker and his father.

While Rey will have her lightsaber, her Jedi training will be far from smooth. According to Bespin Bulletin, she will become frustrated or angry when a tree falls on BB-8 while she trains in a forest. This appears to be the scene from the trailer where she cuts down a tree with her lightsaber.

The other reason for her frustration is that she will attempt to contact the dead Jedi. In the original trilogy, Obi-Wan (Alec Guinness) appears as a Force Ghost to guide young Luke.

In “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” Rey tries to reach Luke through her meditation, but she fails. This makes her feel that she doesn’t deserve to be a Jedi, and she will ask Leia (Carrie Fisher) to take away the lightsaber. Her efforts, however, will bear fruit in the final battle of the film, and scenes of this fight against the Emperor (Ian McDiarmid) may be featured in the upcoming trailer.
