KEY POINTS

  • Basic classes are unlocked upon obtaining their respective weapons
  • Advanced and expert jobs are unlocked by purchasing job nodes
  • Players must level up multiple jobs before they can unlock more

There are over two dozen character classes in “Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin,” and unlocking them all will take a bit of time and effort on the player’s part.

Character classes (or “jobs”) are unlocked naturally as the game progresses, though the more advanced jobs will require some planning since they usually have multiple requirements. Each job has a defined playstyle that comes with unique skills and access to specific weapons.

How to unlock basic jobs

Basic jobs are automatically unlocked after players obtain certain weapons. All players start with the default Swordsman job as well as the Pugilist and Duelist, but more can be unlocked by collecting the following:

  • Lancer: Lance
  • Marauder: Axe
  • Ronin: Katana
  • Swordfighter: Sword
  • Mage: Mace

To use the new jobs, equip them at the Battle Settings screen at the Pause menu or while resting at Cubes.

How to unlock advanced and expert jobs

The basic classes can be evolved into more specialized versions by unlocking respective nodes at the end of their skill trees. Players must level up each class and invest enough points in them to reach their desired Advanced or Expert Job.

However, these jobs will require players to master one or more classes from the previous tier before they can be fully unlocked. For example, players must purchase the Warrior job node from both the Swordsman and Ronin skill trees before the Warrior class itself can be used.

Here are the requirements for each of the Advanced and Expert jobs:
