SHIB is now accepted as a payment option in all Tag Heuer outlets, and in thousands of restaurants and fast food chains contracted with Lavu and Verifone.

Tag Heuer, a world-renowned name in Swiss watches, said in a statement last week that it has partnered with BitPay and will now start accepting cryptocurrencies like DOGE and Shiba Inu, and 10other cryptocurrencies as payment options in the U.S.

"As a luxury brand, we had to ensure that our entrance into Web3 would meet our standards of excellence and thanks to our nimble teams in-house and with the support of BitPay, we are able to dive into this new financial world in the best way possible. This new crypto payment feature is just the beginning of many exciting projects for Tag Heuer in the Web3 universes," CDO Frédéric Arnault said.

Lavu, a leading restaurant software and payments solutions provider used by thousands of restaurants, and Verifone, a global FinTech and payment solution supplier, announced a cross-distribution agreement that will integrate Lavu's restaurant software suite with Verifone's FLEX payment system and Advanced Payment Methods system serving both companies' customers.

The new partnership intends to allow both firms to offer a unified point of sale and payment experience, including cryptocurrencies, to their customers. Crypto payment methods available to both companies' customers include BTC, TH, Lite, DOGE, SHIB and several USD stablecoins.
