‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Jeremy Calvert Tells Leah Messer He Wants A Divorce, Claims She Spends Money ‘Like Water’

Leah Messer’s marriage problems with Jeremy Calvert will come to a head on Thursday’s installment of “Teen Mom 2.” A sneak-peek video of Season 6, episode 6 shows the reality star asking his wife for a divorce.

Following a two-week absence from his shared home with Leah in West Virginia — viewers will remember his career as pipeline engineer requires him to travel — Jeremy engages in a verbal argument with Leah over the phone. In a clip, obtained by People, Jeremy can be heard accusing Leah of having issues with money before asking for a permanent split.

Their argument begins when Leah, 23, informs Jeremy, 26, that one of his bank accounts is negative $500. Jeremy tells Leah she’s no longer his responsibility and that she’s “blowing through money like f-----g water.” “If you can communicate with me when it comes to that kind of stuff I can be a lot more cooperative than what you think,” Leah says.

Jeremy responds by saying he’s had enough of his wife’s antics, causing Leah to break down in tears.

“What is wrong with you?” Leah asks.

“I’m filing for divorce. I’m not f-----g around this time,” he says before hanging up.

After their fight, Leah leans on a pal for support. Despite Jeremy claiming he's filing for divorce, Leah appears unfazed by his threats. “I can’t tell you how many times he’s thrown his ring at my face," she says.

Leah admits that she has spending problems, as well as issues with anxiety and depression. When Leah’s friend says she believes Jeremy has “taken pieces” of her away throughout their relationship, Leah agrees, but says she stays with him because she's in love.

“I don’t think we should get a divorce, but I think that each of us need time… he needs to get help and I need to get help. He’s really f----d up in the head,” she says.

Unfortunately for Leah, it appears Jeremy’s threats were not empty. The couple reportedly finalized their divorce in June. They’re now sharing custody of their 2-year-old daughter Adalynn, Us Weekly reports. Since their split, Jeremy has gone on to date college student Brooke Wehr. Leah is living with her new boyfriend, fitness expert and father of two, T.R. Dues.
