Tekashi 6ix9ine’s former bodyguard was sentenced to 62 months in jail for gun possession. The lighter sentence comes as a result of Faheem Walter’s (Crippy) colostomy bag, which he must reportedly wear for the rest of his life after a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Manhattan Federal Judge Paul Engelmeyer maintained that Walter’s colostomy bag would be a constant reminder to stay away from firearms, Page Six reported. Walter was shot during outside the Lenox Hill restaurant after an encounter with one of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s music managers in October 2018, the news outlet said.

“You have paid dearly for physically for running with a violent crowd,” Judge Paul Engelmeyer told Walter in court. “You as well as anyone else understand the risks associated with gun violence.”

Walter’s defense attorney, Edward Sapone, argued in favor of the lighter sentence saying that the 29-year-old had suffered substantially, recalling the difficulty that Walter had with changing the bag during a blackout at the Metropolitan Detention Center, according to Page Six.

“He sat in the dark for days and days and days, and couldn’t change his colostomy bag…he sat there in the dark and the cold with feces all over his body,” Sapone told the judge.

Sapone reportedly went on to say that this “is not a pity party” but rather Walter has “suffered enough” with his involvement with Tekashi 6ix9ine and the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang and would unable to commit similar crimes, which Judge Engelmeyer agreed with saying, “the image of an enforcer with a colostomy bag is not a familiar one.”

Prosecutors were looking for a stiffer penalty for Walter in the range of 68 to 74 months, the news outlet reported.

Walter, who is 29-years-old, pleaded guilty to charges of assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering and carrying a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. According to prosecutors, Walter engaged in multiple violent gang-related crimes, including an April 2018 shooting at Barclays Center.

Tekashi 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to nine counts of racketeering, drug and gun charges. He entered into a plea deal for a lighter sentence and is rumored by his girlfriend, Jade, to be leaving jail in about six months.
