Kristen Bell wasn’t able to make it through her introduction of Tyler Perry at the 43rd annual People’s Choice Awards without incident. The teleprompter went down as the actress was in the middle of presenting the director and screenwriter with the award for favorite humanitarian at Wednesday’s event at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

After listing several of the reasons why Perry deserved the award, Bell paused for a few seconds, only to announce “the teleprompter has gone down.” Bell laughed and quickly recovered before a video package of Perry played. When the video ended, Bell said she was embarrassed for using the teleprompter and not memorizing the presentation, adding that there were “way too many” good deeds performed by Perry for her to memorize.

Perry became the fifth ever person to win the People’s Choice Award for favorite humanitarian. Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Hudson, Ben Affleck and Ellen DeGeneres have also received the award in the past.

The 2017 People’s Choice Awards aired live on CBS.
