The unveiling of the all-electric Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck is one for the books and will definitely be remembered for generations. Elon Musk’s upcoming pickup truck is one that the public has never seen before with its angular and cyberpunk design. However, the unveiling went awry when the demo of the Tesla Armor Glass on the truck’s windows failed with various sites speculating about the possible reasons for the inglorious incident.

There are some speculations that the shattered windows incident during the unveiling of the Tesla Cybertruck was a purposeful result designed as a public relations stunt. In other words, Elon Musk, along with his team, intentionally planned to have the windows break. It appears to be the case considering the publicity it has generated compared to the unveiling of the unit itself.

However, the initial reaction of the Tesla CEO, as well as that of the designer, appeared genuinely surprised. Also, it sounds doubtful that Musk would undermine his own claims about the bulletproof elements of the Tesla Cybertruck for the sake of extra newsworthiness, Forbes, ’ Lance Eliot explains. Another possible reason for the broken Tesla Armor glass on the windows of the Tesla Cybertruck could be due to a series of previous tests that made the glass weak.

When people are getting ready to do a demonstration, they do and redo the demo end to end even minutes before the actual presentation. This might be the case for the Tesla Cybertruck’s Armor Glass. There is a chance that it was tested before the actual demo on stage. Perhaps someone tossed steel balls at the windows where the windows did not shatter, but hairline fractures were already there.

So, when the actual demo took place, the glass was already in an impaired and vitiated state. Those in-charge of testing the Tesla Cybertruck before the grand unveiling may not be aware that the tests have this effect on the Tesla Armor Glass; thus, windows shattered during the presentation. Although the demo has gone awry, Elon Musk believes that there is a valid explanation of why it happened.

Meanwhile, the tug of war challenge between the Tesla Cybertruck and the Ford F-150 is going to happen again next week. Despite Ford’s recent statement that it will not participate, it appears that Tesla is doing the rematch anyway following Ford’s comment that the first tug of war challenge was unfair.
