These Movies And TV Shows Are Leaving Netflix In May 2019

Netflix is doing some spring-cleaning, and that means the streaming service is losing some big movies. There are even a couple fan-favorite TV shows leaving Netflix in May.

Summer is typically the perfect time to watch “Jaws,” but the shark movies are swimming away. All four flicks from the franchise will be taken off of Netflix in May. Other departing horror flicks include “Hostel” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

“Jaws” isn’t the only movie series leaving. Several James Bond films will expire this month as well, including “Dr. No,” “GoldenEye” and “Licence to Kill.”

The arrival of the Disney+ streaming service later this year means the Mouse House is slowly pulling all their titles from Netflix. That includes the magical adventure movie “Bridge to Terabithia” as well as “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” the final musical romp with Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. The company is also pulling beloved TV shows, like “Bill Nye, the Science Guy” Collection 1 and all five seasons of the Freeform drama “Switched at Birth.”

Some classics are leaving Netflix in May as well. “The Notebook,” “Dances with Wolves,” “Sixteen Candles” and “West Side Story” are being taken down.
