The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a map that showed the places that were hit during Russia's missile barrage Monday.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Ukrainian military's commander-in-chief, shared the map on his Facebook page. He noted that the map only showed the areas hit by Russia's air and rocket strikes between 10:20 a.m. and 11 a.m. local time.

Zaluzhnyi also noted that the Russian army used a range of missiles to carry out the bombing, including air-, sea- and land-based missiles, ballistic missiles, surface-to-air missiles, reconnaissance missiles and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. However, he emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully destroyed most of the Russian missiles involved in the attacks.

Russia fired at least 84 missiles targeting multiple cities across Ukraine on Monday, 43 of which were neutralized by the latter's missile defense systems. At least 14 people were killed in the strikes, while 97 sustained injuries, as per the Ukrainian emergency services' Telegram post.

In a televised address aired after the attack, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the missile attacks were in response to the Saturday bombing of a bridge in the Russian-occupied Crimean Peninsula, which he said was ordered by the Ukrainian special services. Ukraine, however, has not claimed responsibility for the Crimean bridge bombing.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has since had a phone conversation with President Joe Biden, where they "discussed the importance of air defense" and the United States' "continued contributions to increase" Ukraine's capability.

"Today's strikes against civilian targets throughout Ukraine are a sign of weakness of the Russian army which is losing on the battlefield. It is pure terror. But we will not succumb to the Russian missile blackmail," Zelensky said in the call.

The leaders of the G-7 group are also expected to hold an emergency meeting via video conference Tuesday to discuss the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, according to CNBC. The outlet also noted that Zelensky will speak at the meeting.

Karim Ahmad Khan, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), said they will be conducting a criminal investigation and added that he believes that there will be justice for war crimes that took place during Russia's war in Ukraine.
