It's only been a few days since "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" was released on Netflix and fans are already wanting more. Luckily for viewers, it seems they might just get what they want.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the producers of the limited series, Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, revealed that there is potential to continue telling the story of the main character of "Tiger King," Joe Exotic.

"To be continued," Chaikin said. "I mean, yes we have a crazy amount of footage and it's a story that's still unfolding."

The seven-episode true-crime documentary premiered on the streaming service on March 20 is described as "a jaw-dropping true tale of con artists, polygamy, rivalry and revenge." The story centers on Joe, an animal collector who is currently serving 22 years in prison for the attempted murder of animal sanctuary owner Carole Baskin.

The limited series brings to light the underground industry of exotic animal trade in the U.S., and while there have been some claims of hypocrisy surrounding Carole, Goode hopes that viewers take away a bigger message.

"I think that what people should take away from the show and what one should do to protect tigers, in particular, big cats, is to support more programs in the wild," he said.

Nothing is set in stone in regards to "Tiger King" Season 2, however, Chaikin remained confident that there is more of the story to share.

"We're not sure yet," she said, adding, "but there could be a follow-up on this story because there's a lot that's still unfolding in it, and it'll be just as dramatic and just as colorful as what has unfolded these past few years."

All episodes of "Tiger King" are now streaming on Netflix.
