The wife of T.J. Holmes has broken her silence amid the "GMA3" anchor's affair scandal with his co-host Amy Robach.

An attorney for Marilee Fiebig released a statement on Wednesday addressing the state of the estranged couple's marriage and criticizing Holmes for flaunting his relationship with Robach.

"During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee's sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter," Fiebig's lawyer Stephanie Lehman said in a statement.

"To that end, T.J.'s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously, and as amicably as possible."

Lehman went on to condemn Holmes for failing to be more considerate of his estranged wife's feelings.

"Notwithstanding, we continue to be disappointed by T.J's lack of discretion, respect, and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party's daughter," Lehman said.

"Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year."

Fiebig's statement comes one week after Holmes filed for divorce following more than a decade of marriage.

Prior to Holmes' relationship with Fiebig, he was married to Amy Ferson. Holmes and Ferson, who divorced in 2007, share a daughter Brianna, and a son Jaiden.

In 2010, Holmes dated TLC singer Chilli while working at CNN in Atlanta. The television personality and Chili were often spotted together and "super affectionate" in and around the CNN Center.

However, the romance didn't last long, and the couple split after less than a year of dating.

Robach has been married to Andrew Shue since 2010. She shares daughters Ava and Analise with her first husband, Tim McIntosh.

Holmes and Robach's world was turned upside down in November after photos of the pair getting cozy in New York City surfaced.

Shortly after the photo scandal, the anchors were pulled from their on-air positions at "GMA3" until ABC completes an internal review of their relationship.
