After teasing the highly anticipated movie "The Tomorrow War" for months, Chris Pratt finally dropped the action-pack trailer of the upcoming sci-fi movie on Instagram Wednesday.

However, the 41-year-old actor didn't seem to be happy with Instagram's IGTV feature and encouraged fans to watch the trailer on YouTube instead.

"The Tomorrow War Trailer," he captioned. "If you haven't seen the trailer yet... might I suggest you click the link in my bio? YouTube has a better aspect ratio. IGTV not the best. Okay! Love you!"

Penned by Zach Dean, the movie revolves around a group of time travelers who arrive from the year 2051 to share an urgent message about mankind losing war against the alien species thirty years from now.

Pratt portrays a doting father in the movie. In the trailer, he can be seen teasing his daughter at a Christmas gathering. He eventually sits on the couch with his family to watch an ongoing football match on TV. But the match is disrupted all of a sudden as a ball of light shoots from the sky and explodes on the field.

"We are fighting a war 30 years the future," a voice can be heard saying.

"Is this a joke?" Pratt's character reacts. He appears confused about what's taking place.

A futuristic scene showing destroyed buildings and dead bodies then flashes on the screen.

"Our enemy is not human. We need you to fight," the voice continues.

In the next scene, he says goodbye to his family as he's getting drafted for the war. A little later, he can be seen putting a time machine on his arm for "the future war."

The clip also features Betty Gilpin, who portrays Pratt's wife, and Yvonne Strahovski, who plays a scientist.

The trailer has been received well by fans and celebrities on social media.

"DOOOPE!" Pratt's "Guardians of the Galaxy" co-star Dave Bautista wrote in the comments. Meanwhile, "The Kissing Booth" star Joel Courtney said, "Looks so freaking good."

Amazon Prime's official account also responded to his post by saying, "Chris Pratt fighting aliens, making jokes, and flexing muscles– we're in." Former Navy SEAL Jack Carr also commented, "Yeah, brother! This looks AWESOME!"

The movie is helmed by Chris McKay and produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Jules Daly, David Goyer and Adam Kolbrenner.

Besides "The Tomorrow War," the actor will be seen in "Jurassic World 3," which is slated for release on June 10, 2022. He will also be featured along with Chris Hemsworth in "Thor: Love and Thunder," which is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2022 release. As for James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," it is coming out on May 23, 2023.

"The Tomorrow War" streams on Amazon Prime Video starting July 2.
