The Mirror, a British newspaper, recently reported that before her death, Amy Winehouse was in the middle of adopting a poor girl from the Caribbean island. The paper said Amy was about to adopt Dannika Augustine after meeting the girl in St. Lucia, and that the 10-year-old girl was living in poverty, as the girl's mother was single and was struggling to feed her.

"Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse shot back to the top of the British albums chart Sunday, a week after the troubled singer died at the age of 27. Winehouse, famous for her distinctive soul songs and beehive hairdo, struggled with drinking and drug problems throughout much of her career. The cause of her death has not yet been determined as officials await results of toxicology tests.

Amy Winehouse's father Mitch, 60, handed out the singer's clothes, jewelry, and trinkets outside of her Camden flat Thursday. Mitch Winehouse distributed some of her clothes in the street. He said, "These are Amy's T-shirts. This is what she would have wanted - for her fans to have her clothes."
