Cops rushed to Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling’s house in Woodland Hills, California on Thursday morning after receiving a 911 call, saying the actress was having some sort of a mental breakdown.

A exclusively source told TMZ that the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum was being very aggressive when someone called 911 to report the issue at around 7 a.m. The source went on to say that there were no weapons involved during Spelling’s breakdown, but she may have troubled everyone in the house for someone to alert the police.

It seems the problem was resolved quickly because the cops were seen leaving the celebrity couple’s residence after chatting with McDermott. A photo taken by TMZ during the conversation appears to show one police officer smiling before the actor shook hands with him and the other cop while sending them on their way.

It was disclosed later on that it was McDermott who placed the 911 call, saying his wife was having a breakdown. It wasn’t revealed what caused Spelling to behave that way, but an Entertainment Tonight insider claims that it had to do with the pressure on her marriage and life with McDermott.

“There are several things that led up to this, and she really couldn't take the pressure any longer,” the insider said. “Tori tries to be the best mom she can be, but with five children and terrible financial issues, her marriage has suffered tremendously.”

The same insider disclosed that Spelling has had enough of the financial problems they are facing. It can be noted that the actress was sued by American Express in November 2016 for $87,000 in credit card debt. In January the next year, she was also sued by the same company for an unpaid $38,000 bill. Spelling apparently resorted to ask for help from her mother, Candy, to settle the bills.

"The burden has landed on Tori. Candy allowed them to borrow [money] and [Tori] is in no place at the moment to pay her mother back,” The insider said before noting that Spelling and McDermott have since been at odds, fighting over money and their kids.

Another source shared that the night before, Spelling actually phoned the police thinking that someone was breaking into her house. However, law enforcement turned out to be unnecessary at the time since Spelling discovered that it was just McDermott coming home that night.

The specific circumstances that caused Spelling to assume that it was a burglar weren’t disclosed. But a different source claimed that McDermott had been gone for days to go on a break from the tension in their home. Thus, Spelling was not aware that her husband was going home that night.

“She had no idea he had walked in the door and it scared her,” the source said. “She is obsessed with trying to make her relationship with Dean work despite all their issues. Her breakdown came after she and Dean had been fighting. She literally was hysterical and, sadly, the kids were home and everyone was scared. ... She is under far too much pressure.”
