Elon Musk is fighting back rumors of an affair after the Wall Street Journal detailed his alleged relationship with Google co-founder Sergey Brin's estranged wife Nicole Shanahan. Musk addressed the report which was published Sunday, saying there's no truth in it and calling it just another attempt at assassinating his character.

"This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic," Musk tweeted late Sunday evening.

Musk added: "I work crazy hours, so there just isn’t much time for shenanigans."

"Haven’t even had sex in ages (sigh)," he further tweeted. He added that his Mykonos vacation was devoid of a romantic liaison. Media outlets had published shirtless pictures of the Tesla CEO from that break.

The Wall Street Journal said, citing unnamed sources that Brin not only filed for divorce with Shanahan but also distanced himself from longtime friend Musk. The alleged scandal also affected their professional relationship as Brin asked financial advisers to liquidate his investments in Musk's various companies.

Musk claimed that all is well between all parties involved.

He questioned the veracity of the WSJ report, pointing out that none of the involved parties were quoted. "Yeah, the character assassination attacks have reached a new level this year, but the articles are all nothing-burgers. I work crazy hours, so there just isn’t much time for shenanigans. None of the key people involved in these alleged wrongdoings were even interviewed!" he said in another tweet.

Brin and Shanahan have been separated since Dec. 15. The alleged affair between Musk and Brin's wife occurred sometime during the Art Basel event in Miami which ran from Dec. 2 to Dec. 4, mere months after the Tesla owner's breakup with musician Grimes.

This isn't Musk's first time rubbishing speculations on his alleged affairs. Earlier this year, his name was dragged in Johnny Depp's $50 million defamation suit against Amber Heard. It was alleged that Heard had an affair with Musk a month before she officially filed for divorce from Depp. It was also alleged that Musk, Heard, and Cara Delevingne had a threesome or three-way relationship in 2016.

Musk denied the allegations saying he started going out with Heard a month after she had filed for divorce. "I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage!” he told Page Six. "Cara and I are friends, but we’ve never been intimate. She would confirm this," Musk said, addressing the threesome allegations.
