Former President Donald Trump said he will endorse Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy in his re-election bid on the condition that the Republican incumbent doesn't support Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

“Mike Dunleavy has been a strong and consistent conservative since his time in the Alaska State Senate. I was proud to endorse his first run for governor, and I am proud to support his re-election, too,” Trump said Tuesday.

Trump said Alaska needs Dunleavy “now more than ever” and that the first-term governor has his “complete and total endorsement.”

But Trump said his endorsement comes with a caveat of Dunleavy not supporting Alaska's Murkowski, who was one of seven Republican senators who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial for inciting an insurrection at the Capitol.

“If Mike endorses her, which is his prerogative, my endorsement of him is null and void, and of no further force or effect!” Trump said.

Trump has endorsed Murkowski’s primary challenger Kelly Tshibaka, who previously served as Alaska’s Department of Administration commissioner. Trump has even said he would travel 5,000 miles from Florida to Alaska if it meant defeating Murkowski.

"Murkowski has got to go!" Trump wrote in June. "Kelly Tshibaka is the candidate who can beat Murkowski — and she will. Kelly is a fighter who stands for Alaska values and America First. She is MAGA all the way, pro-energy, strong on the border, tough on crime and totally supports our military and our great vets."

Murkowski, 64, is serving her third term in office. In 2010, Murkowski won as a write-in candidate.
