  • President Trump sent Christmas cards to all members of the Congress and Senate
  • Ocasio-Cortez confirms she did not receive the Christmas package
  • Trump and AOC has a history of badblood

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a fourth of president Donald Trump's nemesis called "The Squad," doesn't at all regret not getting a Christmas Card from the man who once called her a "wack (sic) job," and whom she blasted as a "criminal" in return.

This lively exchange of pre-Christmas "cheer" between AOC and Trump erupted onto the headlines last October when an apparently disturbed person at a town hall meeting hosted by AOC went off the rails and began talking incoherently.

Pay TV network C-Span aired a video of this woman's unhinged rant, to which Trump replied with a derisive tweet on October 4, "AOC is a Wack Job!" Trump's son, Don Jr., chimed in with the comment, "Seems like a normal AOC supporter to me."

AOC, one of the more avid Twitter users in Congress, immediately shot back at Don Sr. with, "Better than being a criminal who betrays our country."

This brings us to the present day and the news on Wednesday, the day Trump was impeached by the House, that he was sending every Congressman and Senator (including Democrats) a "special" impeachment Christmas present.

About this unpleasant Christmas surprise, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CN) tweeted: “True story: there is a White House staffer going around the Senate delivering to each office, as a package, the incoherent, scathing Pelosi letter AND…wait for it…a giant 16×12 White House Christmas card (along with, implausibly, a second smaller Christmas card). What a day."

The cards were signed by Trump and his wife, Melania, but keen eyed observers noted both handwritten signatures were positively written by Trump. "Wait. So melania and Donald sign their names the same?" asked one astonished tweeter. "He signed her name," tweeted another.

Not everyone got the entire package, however. AOC tweeted that while she got the letter, there were no Christmas cards for her.

“They’re coming into the House, too. (No Christmas card here -- but no coal, either),” she tweeted.

AOC will end her first year and Christmas as congressman on a high note given her legislative record. She'll also be remembered as a member of "The Squad," the Democrat's hard-left members championing the Green New Deal and Medicare for All. Her Squad teammates are Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan. All are women of color under 50 and are representative of the diversity existing in the Democratic Party.
