While Michael Cohen on Monday reports to jail, where he will be serving his sentence in one of the “cushiest” prisons in the United States.

President Trump's former lawyer is headed to FCI Otisville federal prison in Otisville, New York, to begin his three-year sentence. The prison, located 70 miles outside New York City, will keep him relatively close to his family that will still be living in the city. He would also be joining other famous Otisville inmates, including Fyre Festival promoter Billy McFarland and former “Jersey Shore” cast member Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

Cohen originally requested to be assigned to FCI Otisville at his December sentencing after pleading guilty to charges that include violating campaign finance laws while working for Trump.

Cohen’s crimes and some of the inmates reflect the quality of prison and type of criminals who serve their sentences at FCI Otisville.

Forbes had originally named FCI Otisville as one of “America's 10 cushiest prisons” in 2009. It is widely associated with white-collar criminals.

The inmates are split between two holding areas – a main detention center that currently holds over 700 inmates and a minimum-security camp that house another 100 or more.

Life in the detention area follows a set schedule that begins with a 6 a.m. wake-up call. From there, a normal day entails work, leisure activities and meals before lights out at 11:30 p.m.

The minimum-security camp, on the other hand, is far more lenient. The camp houses more leisure activities for inmates to enjoy that include bocce ball and horseshoes along with full tennis courts and a running area. It also receives kosher food regularly from the nearby Jewish population for the sizeable number of Jewish inmates.

It hasn’t been said where Cohen will be assigned within Otisville to serve his sentence.
