Radar Online recently published a report that seemed to imply there is something romantic going on between Jolie and the "Roma" writer-director as the headline read, “New Romance? The gossip outlet's report did not address the "new romance" rumor, however, as it only showed photos of Jolie and Cuaron from the screening of "Roma" over the weekend.

The report further speculated that the reason Jolie appears to be in "great spirits" nowadays is because Cuaron, 57, has been making her happy.

Radar Online went on to claim that Jolie will sit down for a tell-interview soon where she will open up about her split from Pitt. One of the photo captions in the story also pointed out that the Oscar-winning actress has not dated anyone since her divorce from Pitt and has been keeping it low-key.

Gossip Cop has debunked the report's speculations, pointing out several false points. While Jolie and Cuaron seemed to have become friends since the actress presented him with the best director award at the 2014 Oscars, there has never been anything romantic between them. The rumor-debunking site also pointed out that Radar Online never gave solid proof that Jolie and Cuaron were dating in the report.

A source close to Jolie has also repeatedly confirmed to them that the mother-of-six is not in a relationship and is currently only focusing on her career and children. Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in 2016, ending their decade-long relationship and two-year marriage.

Cuaron also just recently broke up with Sheherazade Goldsmith, whom he dated for four years, according to Page Six, so he is likely not looking for a new lady love just yet.

Cuaron won the trophy for best foreign language movie and best director of a motion picture at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday. "Roma" was initially released in October last year.
