Will Angelina Jolie have a position in the White House in the future? It may be possible as the actress recently hinted that running for office could be in the cards for her.

When Jolie sat down for a chat on BBC Radio 4’s "Today" last month, the UN Refugee Agency special envoy, 43, was asked if she has considered entering politics and running for office in the future. And while Jolie didn't exactly reveal specific plans for a run for the White House, she did tell host Justin Webb that she hasn't discounted it and will go where she was most needed.

Jolie said that if she had been asked 20 years ago if she would consider running for office, she would have just laughed. She added that while she doesn't know if she would be the best person to join politics, she would be willing to do whatever she needed in order to make a positive change.

However, Jolie moving to the political arena may not happen anytime soon as the actress believes she is still able to do a lot of good without the drama that comes with holding a government position.

“Right now, I am able to work with a UN agency that is the most in the field of all the UN agencies, to do a lot of work directly with the people in need," she explained. "I’m also able to work with governments and I’m also able to work with militaries, and so I sit in a very interesting place of being able to get a lot done without a title and without it being about myself or my policies. So, for now, I’ll sit quiet.”

In the same interview, Jolie also talked about how she has changed from a "wild," rebellious teen to an ambassador fighting to prevent sexual violence in war zones and promote the welfare of refugees.

Brad Pitt's ex-wife said that she doesn't believe she has changed much from her younger days. Jolie admitted to being a "young punk" even as a teen and that activism is a form of rebellion.

“I loved the idea of fighting for something you believe in, however hard, and being brave in your life in your choices and doing something your own way," she said.
