Jennifer Aniston has not found a new and younger boyfriend following her split with husband Justin Theroux. A new report claiming the “Friends” alum is open to exploring casual relationships with younger men was determined to be false after a spokesperson for the actress slammed the allegations.

Not long after Aniston and Theroux announced their separation in February, “The Leftovers” actor was romantically linked to several Hollywood starlets. Months after reports of his alleged flings, a new story published in Life & Style is claiming the “Mother’s Day” star is hoping to follow in her ex’s footsteps.

In the article, a “source” tells the tabloid Aniston is “asking girlfriends to set her up with someone in his 20s or 30s who won’t get too attached.” The so-called insider goes on to suggest the 49-year-old isn’t interested in entering a committed relationship and got the idea of dating a younger person from her ex.

“Jen’s sick and tired of being portrayed as the heartbroken one and thinks being spotted with a handsome man on her arm could help set the record straight,” the “source” alleged.

However, a rep for Aniston told Gossip Cop the Life & Style article is a “fabrication.” Although Theroux and Aniston reportedly leaned on friends following their break up, his meet-ups with actresses like Emma Stone and Selena Gomez, which sparked romance rumors, were later revealed to be strictly platonic.

Furthermore, it appears the tabloid is trying to build a story out of a quote from Aniston’s interview with InStyle. Aniston, who was featured in the magazine’s latest issue, revealed she has been harshly criticized in the press.

“It’s pretty crazy. The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.’ Or that I’m sad and heartbroken,” she explained.

“First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors,” Aniston added.

Since sources previously revealed the star is enjoying the single life, Aniston isn’t expected to start dating younger men in order to change the way she is portrayed in the press.
